My UAE: Proud & Privileged - Please Vote!

Hi everyone!

I recently learnt about this really cool competition to design a t-shirt for the UAE national day. The design is now online but to get shortlisted I will need your vote! The only problem is today is my last day to try and get as many votes...

I don't normally do this but If you like my work please support by voting for my design by clicking the link below and sharing with your friends before 11:59pm tonight...thank you all so much in advance, much appreciated!

To very briefly tell you about this work: As some of you already know, I absolutely love character design so, in a nutshell, I took this opportunity to create something that's simple, cool, contemporary and away from the traditional UAE national day designs we already know of.
Hope you like the work and thank you for your support : )

Out and About in Paris

I recently returned from a brief break in Paris and while exploring the city on foot I spotted many attractions especially cool street art, deliciously sumptuous window displays, charming 60's retro illustrations on posters, offbeat and colorful products, unconventional Parisian street style (it was Paris fashion week!) and so much more. Being obsessed with window displays, my favorite is Lanvin for Ladurée. Fun-loving child-like scribbles and doodles always get to me and put a smile on my face. Simple yet very effective! I wish I had more time to roam around and snap away...What I absolutely love about this city is that you don't have to search for design inspiration. You're literally surrounded by it. Paris - a real feast for the creative eye! Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!

My Big Fat Indian-Greek Wedding

I just got back from my first Indian wedding and perhaps the most spectacular wedding I've ever been to! The celebrations lasted for 5 nights and took place in Mykonos, Greece. I was asked by my good friend Faarah, the bride, to help out with designing the wedding stationary, website and wedding collateral. The idea was to create an unconventional invite that reflects the mood and spirit of the destination and celebrations. The bride, being obsessed with caricatures and all things illustration wanted an illustrative invitation and have the theme run throughout all other wedding items: roll-up banners, luggage tags, gift hampers and the wedding events guide booklet. As it was a destination wedding, Faarah wanted to incorporate the landscape of Mykonos and its colours -blue and white. It was a fantastic project to work on, I loved working with Faarah who has a great eye for detail and an open mind for experimenting!  The Entertainment Design Company (EDC) took care of the production for the wedding box, card, bag and hamper gift tote bag. The designs perfectly reflected the mood, the shindigs and merrymakers. And perhaps my favourite souvenir to keep from this event, other than the many photos i took, is the invite! Definitely a keeper!
